Founded in 2001, Cultivating Community creates and sustains greater access to healthy, local foods; empowers people to play many roles in restoring the local, sustainable food system; and models, teaches, and advocates for ecological food production.

Fresh Start Farms, Cultivating Community's food hub distributes quality, Maine-grown vegetables through a large CSA and to wholesale buyers. Produce is grown by new Maine farmers from around the world who've adapted their rich agricultural heritages to Maine's climate and marketplace.

To support these family farmers, consider participating in our (or any) CSA program. With eight farmers and 15+ public pickup locations in Southern Maine, our CSA makes eating locally grown produce convenient, healthy, and affordable.
