Meadowfall is a small family farm in Parsonsfield, Maine nestled along the New Hampshire border near Province Lake. We grow a wide variety of vegetables using sustainable practices and intensive planting on about an acre of land. We practice primarily no-till and the work is done with hand tools such as the broad fork for aerating the soil, hoes for weeding, and a lot of human power. We use no chemical pesticides or fertilizers, managing pests with row-covers, hand-picking and with the help of beneficial insects. We also specialize in wild foraged foods found in our local meadows, forests, bogs and beaches. It is a goal of ours to introduce food lovers to the color, beauty and unique tastes of unusual varieties of produce, whether they be wild or cultivated. We love foraging for wild food, as it is truly seasonal - from the earliest spring field sorrel to the late autumn Maitake mushrooms found beneath fallen oak leaves.
